Dear EUGENeers, This year we celebrate our 25th anniversary. Today we want to give you our first online challenge. The winner will be determined by our chairhuman and board of advisors and will get a free ticket for EUGEN 2021 in Germany! The second place will get an exclusive EUGEN 2020 t-shirt. To take part, follow the instructions in the video. Pack the things listed as fast as you can. The fastest and most creative person to be ready for the field trip wins. Post your video on Instagram or facebook and tag @eugen.ev (Insta) or @ev.eugen (fb) and use the hashtag #eugen2020 You can post your videos until 27th of August. Videos posted later cannot be accepted.  1. This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Instagram. The competition is organized by EUGEN e.V please refer to our homepage at www.eugen-ev.de for further details and our imprint. 2. All natural persons can participate by posting a video according to the rules of the challenge. A participation by mail is excluded. We reserve the right to dismiss fake contributions from the contest. 3. The first price is one ticket to EUGEN 2021, the second prize one t-shirt in the desired size of the second winner. 4. The closing date for entries is 31.08.2020 23:59 CET. 5. The winner will be selected by our chairhuman and board of advisory and contacted via direct message on Instagram or Facebook. Their names will be published on our online presence. 6. If the winner has not replied after 3 days of notice, we reserve the right to pick another winner. In this case the right on the prize expires for the previous winner.  7. Any personal data is not stored or passed on to third parties according to our data policy. 8. We reserve the right to change to rules and regulations of participation 9. All participants acknowledge the rules and regulations of this contest. Any recourse to courts of law is excluded. An equal payment in cash is not permitted. The first prize does not include transportation or any other fee for the winner to reach the location of EUGEN 2021. The second prize will be shipped within Europe or handed over personally if possible. #geology

EUGEN 2020 update

We do not fear volcanoes, asteroids nor ice ages!
But we care about our friends and loved ones all over the world.

Therefore, with a heavy heart and deep sorrow, we are forced to postpone this year’s EUGEN to next year. In 2021 we’ll have the 25th EUGEN in the 26th year of the otter in Germany!
This certainly was a difficult decision for us as we already had been preparing for the last eight months to make the 25th EUGEN a big celebration and a week to remember for every single one of you.
However, your and our health and wellbeing are even more important to preserve, and we all have the responsibility to prevent the spread of COVID-19 through unnecessary travel.
We ask you all to be a little bit more patient and not to be too sad about the situation. We will make up for it next year and it will be just as great as we imagined and planned for you.
Depending on the development we might be able to organise a EUGEN New Year’s Eve party in Germany or maybe share a virtual tele beer in August to celebrate EUGEN-day. But we don’t want to overpromise so stay tuned for updates.
For now, stay healthy and strong and look out for the ones in need around you. If you have any questions, please approach us at any time. Together we will make it through these rough times.
We are looking forward to seeing you all again no later than in August 2021 in Germany.
